Portrait Session ~ Madelyn Mulvaney

_MG_3087.1ws

I am so excited to share these images of the fabulous Madelyn Mulvaney.  Long before I met Maddie I was so intruiged by her photography.  She teaches an incredible class called 'The Art of Living Cheerfully' that is truly a unique and joyous offering.  Maddie simply rocks.  She's also an interviewee in the You are Your Own Muse class so if you're a participant you'll get to know more about her self-portraiture during the class!

So, despite the fact that it was raining, the day our portrait session was scheduled I headed out on the highway (city bus style..that's how i roll) to her neck of the woods.  She lives in this gorgeous little town on the beach and we headed out to the shore to take some photos.  Despite the rain we got playful on the beach and had a really fun session.

Then we headed out to the little cafe in her town and as we left I brought my camera out again.  I remember hearing the advice to always keep your camera handy after a session as that is when some really gorgeous candid shots can happen.  I'm so glad we did as I was able to capture her all stylin' in her avaitor glasses and rad coat to get a little extra diversity of her fabulousness into the images captured.

Here is a deeper glimpse into our portrait session together.

These are lovely. I especially like third photo from the bottom: Maddie's hair looks so much like the beautiful gnarly branches behind her. It's like she sprung from the earth, which is very much in line with who she is, I daresay. Beautiful capturing of her spirit, Viv!
