14 Days of Self-Love: Day 6 ~ Kristen Perman
Monday, February 6, 2012 at 7:53AM
There are times when eating properly, getting enough sleep and all of the other things I try to do to take care of myself isn't enough. Too often, it's the self-love, the time taken to be just me, Kristen, that gets pushed aside. I'm often the last person I take care of, (or think of), when time is at a crunch.
I'm blessed to live a few short blocks from the sea, the one place that I can ground myself and set myself back to center. Even ten minutes is enough. As my feet sink into the sand, I take in the briny air and I feel myself relax; my pace settling in with the cadence of the waves as they break on shore.

I so relate to this! For me the sea always puts things into perspective for me. It just fills me wit awe and a feeling of insignficance, but not in a bad way if you know what I mean? It's feeling small in a good way, like no matter what's going on in my life it's a passing moment, andonly the most important things seem timeless.
oh Kristen...that briny air and sandy toes...is the BEST feeling in my World too...such a cool photo too!
I did this just yesterday! Nothing like the sea...
I'm not near an ocean anymore, and I miss it. I'm near a lake or two, so they say, but I have yet to find them. I can relate though. I always feel replenished somehow - refreshed and renewed even just spending a few moments gazing at the water. Wonderful post
i need to move to the ocean, again.
